What is sponsorship?
Sponsorship is a commercial partnership where a business or individual provides financial or in-kind support in return for agreed value. That value might include brand visibility, content, hospitality, naming rights, community association or access to a relevant audience.
Why should I seek sponsorship?
Sponsorship can help fund events, equipment, travel, projects and growth while also creating a useful partnership with a business. A strong sponsorship should make sense for both sides rather than simply being a request for money.
What types of sponsorship opportunities can I list?
You can list financial or in-kind opportunities covering sport, events, community projects, creators, education, culture, hospitality, business, tourism and more. Each opportunity can have its own target, deadline, audience, deliverables and optional sponsorship packages.
How do I find potential sponsors?
Create a complete Sponsor Seeker profile and publish a clear opportunity. Sponsors can discover it through the marketplace, filters and recommendations, while you can also share the public listing through your own social channels and network.
What should I include in a sponsorship proposal?
Explain what you are seeking, what the funding supports, who your audience is and what the sponsor receives. Add realistic reach or attendance figures, images or video, social links, a deadline, clear deliverables and any fixed sponsorship packages you want to offer.
How do I negotiate sponsorship terms?
Sponsors apply through an opportunity and both sides can then use the private SponsorNI conversation to ask questions, counter an amount, share contracts or supporting files and agree the deliverables. Payment is only requested after an application has been accepted.
What are the costs?
Creating an account, browsing and listing an opportunity are free. SponsorNI deducts a 10% platform commission from successful sponsorship payments. Sponsors only pay once a sponsorship application has been accepted.
